The following is located on several posters and signs throughout the camp. There's a big one posted on the wall outside of the main entrance to the lodge as well.

Camp Petosky Rules

1) Barring special circumstances, all campers must stay on the camp grounds for the full eight weeks of camp. It's for your own safety!

2) Lights out is at 11 pm, and the morning bell rings at 8 am. All campers are expected to be in bed between those times, unless accompanied by an adult. We can't have you staying up all night, after all!

3) There will be activities throughout the week - Campers are welcome to participate, though you don't have to if you don't want to. But participating is fun, and you might even get prizes if you do well!

4) Locked doors are off-limits, unless accompanied by an adult.

5) Do not under any circumstances enter the woods. There's a lot of nasty wildlife in this area, and we want you to be safe.

6) Contraband will be confiscated on sight. Contraband includes things like pornography, dangerous items, etc. Just ask one of your counselors if you want to know what is and what isn't allowed!

7) Fighting is not allowed in camp - anyone caught fighting will be locked up in time out for one day, to allow them to cool off. We're all friends here, after all!

8) Dangerous pranks are not allowed in camp. Anyone caught doing dangerous pranks will be locked up in time out for one day, for them to ruminate on their actions. A few pranks are fine, but if it goes too far, you'll be punished!

9) In the event that someone has broken rule 7 or 8, a meeting will be called over the nightly campfire. Campers will discuss what happened and decide who is responsible for breaking the rules, with a majority vote deciding who will be put in time out. No hard feelings if your friends decide you need to be put in time out!

10) We know the teenage years are a time to explore, and summer camp often leads to ~summer romance~, but please - keep it clean! As the old saying goes: You can eat your noodles, and you can go canoeing, but no canoodling! If you're caught canoodling, the counselors can and will dump buckets of cold water on you so you can cool down from all that teenage ardor.

11) Additional rules will be added as necessary - But if you keep to the rules above, we'll be just fine!

12) Lance is not allowed to be within 20 feet of anyone who is undressed.
