SUMMER CAMP PETOSKEY MODS

Jul. 15th, 2018

Hello everyone! We're just about to head into week 7, which means endgame will be here soon! Week 8 of camp will run a bit differently than how the previous weeks have run, so we wanted to give you that information so you could plan accordingly.

There won't be any events during week 8. No motive, no mid-week game, nothing. Instead it will be a 'calm before the storm' kind of deal, and campers will have until Thursday to finish up any business they have left.

ICly, both the investigation and trial will take place on Friday, June 27th. OOCly, investigations will be on Friday the 27th and the trial will be on Saturday the 28th.

The investigation will be divided up into two parts. For Part A, everyone will be put into groups of 2 or 3 to investigate different locations in camp. They will investigate their location with their partners and hang onto those clues for the trial. At the end of week 7 we will have signups for time slots for investigations. So for example, one group might investigate their location from 2-3 pm, while another investigates from 7-8 pm. ICly all of these investigations happen at the same time, but we want to space them out so that we mods can focus on one location at a time. This is the base evidence of the final trial.

Part B of the investigation will consist of an 'evidence checklist'. Clues for the final investigation have been sprinkled throughout every week of camp, so we will provide you with a vague checklist that states where each clue can be found. So for example, we might say one clue is in the week 2 mingle post, and another clue was in the week 5 trial, and so on. Your job is to look back through the weeks and find those clues based on the descriptions we give. ICly, this will be your character 'remembering important events from camp.' This is the 'extra evidence' of the final trial. As usual, you don't need to find all of the extra evidence to meet the 'good end' conditions. It's just a boost to help make the final trial easier.

The final trial will run from 12 pm to 6 pm EST. As usual, it can end earlier if the conditions are met, but 6 pm is the absolute cutoff. ICly, this cutoff is at sunset on Friday, July 27th.

Finally, we have one last important bit of information: Living campers are required to participate in both investigation and trial in order to reach a 'good end' for camp.

This is the checklist of what you need for a 'good end' in camp:

- all investigation threads for Part A must be finished by 11:59 pm EST of Friday, July 27th.
- all living characters must make 15 comments minimum in the investigation.
- all living characters must make 15 comments minimum in the trial.
- the dead characters must fulfill specific conditions set for them in the deadland thread for the final trial. (this is a combined effort on the part of all dead PCs, so they have no minimum comment amount for a 'good end')
- all other 'good end' flags must be met.
- The question posed at the start of the trial (a question that will be revealed at the trial start) must be answered in a way that satisfies the NPCs.

As soon as all of these conditions are met, the trial will end. If the trial reaches 6 pm EST with any of these conditions not met, then we will proceed with the alternate ending you all have reached at that point.

As of right now, you haven't messed up a 'good end' flag. Either they have already been successfully met, or they have not happened yet and you still have time to meet them.

If your character is alive currently and you feel as though you cannot meet any of these requirements, please contact us ASAP so we can work something out. If you talk to us now about any trouble with meeting endgame requirements, we can be much more flexible than if you come to us on the day of the final investigation/trial.

If you have any questions for how endgame is going to run, feel free to ask them below!
