[ There is a noise as the blade in Dyaus's head flicks outwards. Dyaus has no eyes, of course, so it can't SEE Eddie, but it can sense his heat, and smell him. And hear him. So it looks toward him anyway, growling lowly for a moment, before attempting to grab at him with those wing-hands it's got. ]
[ So the thing about demons is that they're predators, and efficiency first and foremost. Dyaus is going to make another attempt to grab at him, and, well. It's a calculating monster. If it can't eat anything while Eddie is alive, then it can eat him while he's dead, right?
He's slammed up against one of the walls, attacking him with that blade on his forehead several times indiscriminately. Looks like it's aiming for his heart, but if he's struggling, it might not be able to hit it. ]
[The bathroom isn't very big, especially when there's a 7 foot tall creature filling it up, so Eddie doesn't have much room to run. He screams as he's grabbed, tears streaming down his cheeks as the weight of what's happening finally hits him.
He's going to die.
He's going to be the next victim of this fucking camp and there's jack shit he can do about it. He's not strong enough to fight back, especially not against Cielo in his demonic form. The odd thing is, the fact that he's going to die isn't the thing that scared him the most.
It's the fact that Richie is going to be alone. That Richie might be the one to find his body tomorrow, and he'd have to stand up during the trial and try to find who killed him. He'd have to look Cielo in the face when they find him guilty and watch him be executed. Richie has to face the rest of camp without him.
That thought is enough to keep him fighting, as futile as it is. He beat his hands against Dyaus, hitting wherever he can reach. He screams and struggles, trying to get free of his grasp.]
Cielo, no! Please! No!
[He chokes out a sob]
Richie!!
[despite his struggling, he feels that blade pierce his throat. His eyes get wide and he gasps]
[ During the struggling, a few more puncture wounds end up being made in his stomach, but his throat works well enough. Hitting that area should kill him very quickly.
All he has to do is wait it out. And he will. He'll wait, the only thing driving his body instinct anymore. If he was conscious of what he was doing, Cielo would hate himself right now, but as it is, in this moment, he's just not himself. There's an angry noise when finally the creature's patience runs thin, and it tears at one of Eddie's legs, bone and all. And once he eats, he starts to calm down a little bit. It dies down. Everything settles.
And then Cielo realizes what's happened. And it takes every ounce of his willpower not to be sick. Devour the fallen, as Heat would say. Don't let their lives be in vain. Blood is still pounding in his ears when he changes back. It's... it's hard to avoid the mess of blood in the room, but he already had paint on his clothes, it was fine, right? He moves to the sink, hands still bloody, to try to rinse his mouth out, and staring at himself, he can't handle it. He changes back into Dyaus and flies out of the room, towards the lake.
He's got to try to get this blood off him. He feels unclean. He feels sick. He wants to just go drown himself. But at least submerging in the lake, it... it helps a little. He feels a bit better when he lands finally, back in the clearing, clean again, as much as he can be. His clothes already had some stains, but what can you do.
... What does he do now? Does he go to Red and beg for help? Does he just confess? He's a danger to the entire camp. He can't stay like this. They're going to have this big show, and they're going to hate him. Hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him, just like Tal did early on--
He does the only sensible thing a very frightened kid with demon powers CAN do. He curls up into a ball and he cries for a little while. He hates this. He hates himself. He should be dead. Eddie should be alive. This isn't right.
Richie is going to hate him. Richie doesn't deserve this. Nobody deserves this. ]
[Between the blood loss and shock, Eddie's stopped screaming. The fight quickly goes out of him and his arms fall limply by his sides. A few final tears slip from his eyes as his final thoughts linger on Richie and the others he's grown so close to in camp. He sends up a small prayer that Mitsuru can keep Richie safe and bring him home.
His vision starts to darken and he feels himself slipping away.]
Rich...ie... I'm... sorr-
[The last of his breath wheezes from his lungs as the light fades from his eyes. Thankfully, he's gone by the time the creature's strong jaws tear into his leg.
[The tearing noises were hard to ignore, along with all the screaming. When you can't be infected, it's much easier to see and hear everything going on at camp.
If Cielo goes back into the bathroom, he'll see Archer is already there, a broadsword in his hand as he chops down on the stub left behind without hesitation - face set as he then moves towards the other leg.
Thankfully, Eddie is young - and his bones are easier to cut through than an adult's. He's got a lot of work to do, if he wants this to be done before everyone wakes up.]
[ ... Archer why are you the worst. Fine. He'll do as he's told--but he's going to change to do it. It's hard to get through stuff like that as a human, and it's at least some comfort that he can slip into Dyaus to do it.
He's not happy, though. He just looks like a sad bird. A very lost, sad bird. He has no idea what to do right now, honestly. ]
[The arm is done - and Archer moves onto the neck, purposefully cutting into the area where the neck cut is, much like how Usagi's beheading temporarily hid the method of death.
It doesn't take long.]
If you're going to just stand there, then go back to the cabins. I've got work to do.

What the fuck?! Cielo! What...

Finish your meal.

Y-you, b-but--

Didn't you want to 'honor the fallen', as you put it?
