LOCATIONS

LOCATIONS

LODGE: Welcome to the main building you will be using during your stay at camp! This two-story wooden building looks old, but well-kept. The top floor is level with the main area of camp, whereas the bottom floor is partially underground with one wall exiting to the canoe area. The mess hall, rec room, church, and camp store are all in this building. You can also find the counselor’s rooms here. See the ‘lodge’ maps for a more detailed description of those areas.

CABINS: Made of the same wood as the lodge, these cabins have seen quite a bit of use. They’re old, but in good condition, having been lovingly cared for by campers over the years. Cabins are co-ed, and contain five bunk beds each, totaling ten campers to a cabin. Each cabin also has ten trunks for campers to put their things in and ten beanbag chairs for lounging around in. Cabins 1 through 3 are currently in use, while cabin 4 seems available but uninhabited at the moment.

BATHROOMS/SHOWERS: This building has the same wooden exterior as all the other buildings, but the inside is completely tile. It is actually split in two, with a ‘boys’ side and a ‘girls’ side. Each side contains five single-stall toilets and five single-stall showers, as well as a changing area and a row of sinks. Spiders and bugs constantly make their way in there, as well as mold. Looks like you'll have to brave the wilderness to do your business.

CLEARING: This is an open, packed-dirt area near the lodge. Currently there is nothing there (beyond a picnic bench or two), but it looks like there is plenty of room to set up just about anything you can imagine.

MESS HALL: Not actually a separate building, but the mess hall within the lodge connects to this area of the camp via a set of double-doors. The slope next to it is actually rather steep - and the rails on the edges of the slope look rather old and rusty, so watch your step!

CANOES & LIFE JACKETS: This is a small shack near the lake that contains all of the equipment you need to fun in the water. Canoes and life jackets seem to take up most of the space here, but you might find other water toys left behind by previous campers if you go looking.

LAKE: There isn’t really a proper beach for swimming here, but there is a boat launch area that can be used to get the canoes out on the water! Otherwise this area is mostly good for fishing or skipping rocks across the water.

FIRE PIT: This is a large hole in the ground surrounded by rocks and stocked with burning wood. The counselors host a bonfire here pretty much every night, so it’s a prime place to mingle with the other campers and roast some marshmallows! There’s plenty of benches and stumps around the fire for sitting, too. This is also where all trials will take place.

BEACH: Unlike on the other side of camp, this side of the lake has good beachfront. There’s plenty of sand for building sandcastles and sunbathing. Just don’t forget the sunscreen!

LAKE: A small section of this side of the lake is roped off for swimming. Campers are strongly encouraged to stay within the ropes if they are not wearing a life jacket, and not to go too far out. Lake Superior’s got some nasty undercurrents.

TIME OUT: This small wooden shack is where all punishments are carried out. Break a rule? Expect to be put in time out for a few hours. There is absolutely nothing creepy about this shack either, it is completely normal and has no supernatural properties whatsoever.

GRASSY FIELD: It’s just an open field! This one doesn’t look like it’s used for events, though. Feel free to run around and play here, it’s perfect for setting up a friendly game of soccer or something.

PAVILION: A small pavilion by the grassy field. There’s a single-toilet bathroom, a water fountain, and a few picnic tables within. There is also a charcoal grill right next to it, prime for grilling burgers. It’s a nice shady place to relax for a bit, and maybe a good place to eat outside if the mess hall gets too boring.

RV AREA: This is actually not part of the camp proper, so campers are discouraged from going there. But if any brave camper ventures in, they will find plenty of pay lots for people to bring their RVs to. RVs seem to rotate on a weekly basis, with various families coming and going as they want. The people staying here do seem pretty unfriendly, though. It might be best to avoid them.

ROAD: This is actually the road out of camp! It's too bad the gate is closed, though. And even if it were open, it looks like the road goes right into the woods and carries on for miles. Looks like you won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

ALTER & PEWS: Most of the top floor of the lodge is taken up by a church. The pastor can be found here, writing sermons or offering prayers for anyone who comes in. On Sundays, mass is held at 10 am. There are also additional religious study meetings throughout the week that campers can attend.

CAMP STORE: It’s about what you would expect from a camp store: small, cramped, and full of mostly-useless junk. But if you stop in on the right days, you might be able to access the black market. For more information on the camp store and the black market, go here

.

REC ROOM: This room seems to be the entertainment room of the camp. There’s several tables and chairs set up for use, and many camp activities are held here. There’s also a tv against one wall! There doesn’t seem to be any cable, though. Just a DVD player and a Wii. Both are free to use, though you will have to provide games or videos beyond Wii Sports and The Room. There's also a Ping Pong table, for all your Ping Pong related needs.

KITCHEN: An industrial kitchen used to cook all sorts of foods here at camp. Campers are generally not allowed in here, and will need to make the proper connections within camp to be able to use this room freely. There is a small snack area that campers are allowed to take snacks from, though. It contains fresh fruit and little snack bags of goldfish crackers.

MESS HALL: This room is full of long tables and benches. At every meal, a buffet table along the wall is filled with plenty of food for everyone to eat. Campers are expected to clean up after themselves, so don’t go making a mess! On one wall is a set of double-doors leading outside to the canoe area.

STAN’S ROOM: Like it says, this is Stan’s room. The door is unlocked, but please knock before entering! There’s no telling what he might look like at any given moment.

RED’S ROOM: This is where Red is staying. Unlike Stan’s room, Red’s door is actually locked at all times. If you want to speak with her, you will have to knock.

STORAGE CLOSET: Based on the room arrangement it looks like it could be a third counselor’s door, but the sign on the door says ‘storage closet’. This door is locked.
