DEADLAND
[Some time after your character dies, they will wake up in their bunk in camp. But something is wrong here, so very wrong.
Venture outside, and you will see that you're still in camp, but it's trapped in a foggy twilight. Time doesn't seem to pass, and it's quiet. Too quiet. No animals, no breeze, nothing.
The only sign of anything living is in the trees, where dozens and dozens of ghostly figures roam. Sometimes they might come into camp, but you'll probably have to go out to meet them if you want to talk to them. They all seem to be watching camp, but are shy and might flicker away if they're approached.
Finally, in the chapel in the lodge, there is a shadowy figure. It looks like a preteen, perhaps? Maybe 11 or 12 or so. But that's about all you can get from it at a glance.
But you're here now, and there are things to do. Where will you start?]

We... well, back home, all of our clothes are pretty heavy or would be ruined by getting them wet, so I never learned how.
[Lillith tentatively wades in with his guidance]

[He keeps a careful eye on her, sticking close by to make sure she's at least comfortable just being in the water with the ball first.]
So did nobody learn how to swim then?
no subject
[It takes a few moments until she's waist-deep in water, letting herself get used to the feeling]
no subject
[Not that he's sure if that'd have helped, but... ]
Feeling okay so far?
no subject
I'm doing okay so far.
no subject
[Leading the way slowly, to match her comfort levels here.]
Saunas sound nice too though... were they just not your thing?
no subject
[She wades, up to her chest, slowly feeling how the ground is slowly giving way, the conversation is helping to keep any nervousness at bay]
no subject
[This concept is... new to him. But once they get to about chest depth he stops.]
Okay, this should be good for now. This way, if you get scared you can stand right up and be fine.
no subject
[She nods slightly, it should be alright - they're already dead, dead people can't drown, right?]
no subject
[He laughs a little apologetically.]
Alright, let's first get you used to floating on the water. Try to lie back like you're lying in bed. I promise I won't let you sink.
[A beat.]
I'll keep my arms just under your back ok?
