DEADLAND

[Some time after your character dies, they will wake up in their bunk in camp. But something is wrong here, so very wrong.

Venture outside, and you will see that you're still in camp, but it's trapped in a foggy twilight. Time doesn't seem to pass, and it's quiet. Too quiet. No animals, no breeze, nothing.

The only sign of anything living is in the trees, where dozens and dozens of ghostly figures roam. Sometimes they might come into camp, but you'll probably have to go out to meet them if you want to talk to them. They all seem to be watching camp, but are shy and might flicker away if they're approached.

Finally, in the chapel in the lodge, there is a shadowy figure. It looks like a preteen, perhaps? Maybe 11 or 12 or so. But that's about all you can get from it at a glance.

But you're here now, and there are things to do. Where will you start?

That's what I was thinking too. If they really want to contain phenomena like Sol, it would get a lot easier for them if they didn't have to do an elaborate ritual every year.

Elaborate... ritual...

Some of us have gained a measure of trust from the Lake Cats? Maybe that could be a bargaining point too?
diesifkilled: to a snake it will bite you and you wasted the anti venom on the snake. it doesnt go inside out (science has found if you give anti venom)

...Let's not betray them if we don't need to. The less they have to deal with these people, the better.

Just tossing out options as they come to me. We need to look at everything.

I don't think getting on the Lake Cat's bad side is a good idea but we have to consider they're not just here for Sol. The cats and the moose could be factors as well.

Yeah, that's fair. It just feels like we're grasping at straws here.

It does...

But if we don't bring up everything we think of then no one else can give us a different perspective on things we might not want to think about.
diesifkilled: later on i find out they were actually a little electronic toy dog, but the chance to make friends has passed. (people often say at me "ayip yip yip.")

Then let's keep on thinking. Not like we've got anything better to do right now.

Yeah... [No bodies or boyfriends for distractions. This is sad, he doesn't get his Nine report today.]

I don't want to get the cats involved. You saw what they're doing to Sol, no way they'll leave the cats alone.

[Although part of him is sure they already know about the lake cats]
