DEADLAND
[Some time after your character dies, they will wake up in their bunk in camp. But something is wrong here, so very wrong.
Venture outside, and you will see that you're still in camp, but it's trapped in a foggy twilight. Time doesn't seem to pass, and it's quiet. Too quiet. No animals, no breeze, nothing.
The only sign of anything living is in the trees, where dozens and dozens of ghostly figures roam. Sometimes they might come into camp, but you'll probably have to go out to meet them if you want to talk to them. They all seem to be watching camp, but are shy and might flicker away if they're approached.
Finally, in the chapel in the lodge, there is a shadowy figure. It looks like a preteen, perhaps? Maybe 11 or 12 or so. But that's about all you can get from it at a glance.
But you're here now, and there are things to do. Where will you start?]

[...is his reaction to this shoulder punch, but he can't even do anything about this because sudden hugs. Oh god, Tal's being weirdly tsun... WHICH HE WOULD HAVE LAUGHED AT TAL FOR, but Tal's taken yet another turn into mood whiplash territory and joking just feels wrong for the moment. How Tal managed to pull this off in under thirty seconds is a mystery and a talent.
It's probably just the physical proximity and the sudden Real Talk, but it makes Lance duck eye contact for just a moment. There's color rising in his cheeks and that's just... too weird to maintain eye contact through.]
...Hey, we're all in this together, right?

[It's soft and the tune is weak but the sentiment is there and he smiles again, laughing softly at himself. There a moment where he just watches Lance's expression, quiet and contemplative and then he smiles a little wider, tired but a hint of that smugness in the slant of his mouth.]
Y'know... you're cute when you blush.
[Still saying nice things, right? He does resist the urge to touch his hair again, at least.]

I was not.
[He totally was, and he knows that which is why he's haughtily looking up and away. But then, refusing to be embarrassed, he adds with a grin:]
Besides, I'm not cute. I'm cool. At all times. That's like one of my things.

But he lets Lance back away, lets him keep his dudebro facade.]
Oh yeah, totally. The coolest~
[It's like talking to Prompto. Good gods.]

[Arms crossed over his chest, still not quite looking at Talcott there.]
Thanks for noticing.

Ahhh so cooool~
[He only manages a moment before he busts out laughing]

....hmph.
[That very mature response is all.]
