DEADLAND
[Some time after your character dies, they will wake up in their bunk in camp. But something is wrong here, so very wrong.
Venture outside, and you will see that you're still in camp, but it's trapped in a foggy twilight. Time doesn't seem to pass, and it's quiet. Too quiet. No animals, no breeze, nothing.
The only sign of anything living is in the trees, where dozens and dozens of ghostly figures roam. Sometimes they might come into camp, but you'll probably have to go out to meet them if you want to talk to them. They all seem to be watching camp, but are shy and might flicker away if they're approached.
Finally, in the chapel in the lodge, there is a shadowy figure. It looks like a preteen, perhaps? Maybe 11 or 12 or so. But that's about all you can get from it at a glance.
But you're here now, and there are things to do. Where will you start?]

Tuesday
Find Lance at the beach literally crying out in despair over this because holy fucking shit this hurts. This whole fucking time, everything he thought he knew about the world, the people he thought were safe at home -- all of that now a goddamn lie.
After he's shouted himself hoarse, he just drops onto his knees. Yeah, they had plans for the rest of today, but he's not moving from ths spot]

When the night has come... and the land is dark...

She doesn't care.
Lance is hurting.
He's hurting bad.
It's the kind of pain that can't really ever be stopped, can't really ever be healed. Not fully. It lingers and stings and digs its venomous fangs into you. It leaves behind things called "grief" and "pain" and "guilt" that are worse and more all-consuming than any monster.
So she does the only thing she can do.
She throws her arms around him and holds him tight, like if she doesn't he's going to disappear any moment. ]

He waits a bit to approach Lance because this seems like the kind of pain that not even hugs can help any. So he only sits down next to Lance, closely, after the shouting is long done. ]
Was he another lion pilot...?

for lance - monday post-message chain
Here, where Lance and the others were waiting and it...wasn't all what she'd expected. HE wasn't what she'd expected. The way he'd reacted, the way he spoke, the way he looked at her; they weren't what she thought they'd be. She doesn't know why, just yet, but she's not quite so stupid that she can't see what it is. And so they find themselves down at the end of the dock, where Floe takes a seat, looking out over the ghostly-looking waters. She gives him a few moments, to join her or not, before she takes a deep breath and says the four words no one ever likes to hear. ]
We need to talk.

THURSDAY MEETING (operation shirocalypse)
Alright gang, you all heard what I've been talking about with Red. She's believes we're here now.
[Excuse the extremely salty look on his face; he's still kinda ticked off about this, ok.]
She said we'd get an opening next week, so... maybe everyone should hold off on sending the living messages until then? I don't think talking to them's going to help stop final protocol at this point and that should be our priority. We're gonna have to think about what to tell Archer in order to convince him we're still here in the mean time.
[And here, he will be looking directly at Shirou.]
Nothing personal or anything, but I think you might have to turn on the waterworks, man.

thursday pre-meeting for Lance
They're all exhausted this week, so much has happened and it's all been so emotionally draining for Lance. Which makes him detour for a moment, slipping into the rec room. He snags a blanket from the back of the love seat, spreads it out over Lance and sinks down to the floor beside him. Humming softly, leaning his head back to rest against Lance's shoulder periodically. However long it takes for him to wake up Tal is there, doing what little he can to make sure his dreams are pleasant at least.]

[Ichigo's dead. He's upset about Eddie as well, of course he is, but- Ichigo was supposed to be the one who would save them. He'd promised, hadn't he? He'd been the one to stay determined and hopeful in the face of everything this camp threw at them, and now-]

SATURDAY MEETING
Okay, guys. These past two days have been rough on a lot of us. There are unanswered questions about what happened and come Sunday when they're here, we'll get some answers and some closure. That all said, we have to keep moving. It's what they would have wanted, too.
[A brief pause.]
Since we can't rely on someone using their powers to talk to animals to understand us, we have to come up with some alternative ideas for communicating with them.

Friday and Saturday reactions
[ That body sure gets found. This sure happens right in front of zombie Boa's eyes. Suffice to say, it's a bad, bad Friday.
You'll find Boa in cabin 3, on his bed. He's curled up in a ball and the occasional sob slips out, but mostly you can hear repetitive muttering: ]
... I'll kill them... I'll kill them... I'll kill them for this...
Saturday
[ Boa was calmed down yesterday. In the end, there are still people he wants to give his best for. There is still a goal to reach. If he loses it now and messes it up for everyone, then... that would be unforgivable.
So he was steeling himself. He wanted so badly to see it through. Even after all he'd seen of the body of someone he loved so dearly. Even then...
However, then Red speaks up.
And Boa just freezes. And stays frozen. Hm. ]
